OA
members are elected by their fellow scouts in the troop. Only scouts
with 20 night of camping (including summer camp) within 2 years and have
reached the rank of First Class, are eligible for the OA election.
Once elected the Scout must attend an weekend induction
ceremony/campout, known as, the The Ordeal, to complete his membership.
Scouts who have been elected to the Order off the Arrow are encouraged
to go to the Ordeal and later, earn Brotherhood.
Troop 222 OA members are active in the Powahay Chapter,
Owaneco Lodge, of the Order of the Arrow.
Chapter meetings are generally held the Second Wednesday of Every Month (October Through April) - 7:15 - 8:30 PM
(Same night as Roundtable, no meeting if Roundtable is cancelled). May,
June, and September Meetings are held during the Ordeals on Sunday
morning at LDS Church, 676 South Avenue, New Canaan. During the months when there is a District Camporee or an Ordeal, the Chapter meeting are held at those events.

Law. Arrowmen are known for maintaining camping traditions and spirit,
promoting year round camping, and providing cheerful service to others.

adventures, and leadership training.
Deep discounts are given to OA members who attend the BSA High Adventure
